QiGong cultivates and balances energy (Qi) through gentle mindful movements, deep diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation. It is simple to learn and is ideal for quick relaxation and stress relief.
QiGong's high effectiveness for managing stress and anxiety is well supported by multiple studies:
- Simple Routines: physical exercises and long, slow, deep breathing can quickly reduce stress and anxiety in just 10 minutes a day.
- Grounding Movements: techniques involving, slow downward and inward hand motions help calm scattered energy associated with anxiety.
- Relaxation Benefits: QiGong promotes relaxation, reduces cortisol levels and improves mood through increased alpha brainwave activity.
How soon after practicing QiGong will I see results?
- Immediate Relief: the positive effects can be felt immediately after a single session since QiGong can reduce anxiety by improving body balance and calming the autonomic nervous system.
- Sustained Benefits: regular practice (e.g. 30-60 minutes, 2-3 times a week) over a 6-12 week period significantly reduces anxiety and stress symptoms, with effects lasing up to a month after practice ends.
This program is 3 sessions of 1 hour workshops. NO experience is necessary. You can attend the workshop in person or on zoom. Recordings of classes are provided for your practice.
