About the Event:
Therapeutic QiGong, was developed by Dr. Zhuang Yuan Ming, a trauma specialist at the Government Hospital in Shanghai, during the 1960's and 1970's. He combined his expertise in modern medicine and scientific principles with ancient Chinese martial arts, breathing techniques, and Taoist movement practices to create this unique practice.
Set 1 consists of 18 slow, deliberate exercises that progressively increase in intensity to targe specific muscle groups and isolated joints.
In a small group you will learn to:
- do each move gently and properly, guiding and being guided by your own body.
- synchronize breathing with your movements and mental focus
- pull back from pain, achieve progress in comfort
- understand how energy flow influences ability
- incorporate visualization and guided imagery
No prerequisites. Classes are held in person and on zoom classes are recorded and provided so you can practice.
